Launched in 1978, this series is designed to help young scholars publish recent work of high quality, accepted for a research degree by universities in the United Kingdom and Eire. Volumes 14 to 41 were published together with the Modern Humanities Research Association (MHRA), and publication was then resumed by the Institute.
