Bithell Memorial Lectures

The Bithell Memorial Lectures were inaugurated in 1975 by Professor Leonard Willoughby, founding Honorary Director of the then Institute of Germanic Studies (now Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies). Since 1986 the Lectures are held (and published) at two- to three-year intervals.
