Profile

Ernesto Cerveira de Sena holds a PhD (2006) and a Masters' degree (2001) from the Universidade de Brasília (UnB) in Social History. He graduated (1996) in History at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso  (UFMT), where he is now Full Professor of Latin American History. He is developing research into the border regions of South America in the nineteenth century, with special focus on international and social relations, addressing indigenous peoples, Afro-Americans populations, settlers and state agents.
