Rebecca Walker is a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellow in Italian at Trinity College Dublin, where she is working on representations of religion in 20th- and 21st-century Italian women’s writing. Before this, she completed her doctorate on the novels of Elena Ferrante and Goliarda Sapienza at the University of St Andrews and was then a Modern Humanities Research Association Postdoctoral Scholar and a Research Associate with the St Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology. She has also worked on Elsa Morante, Sally Rooney and Jhumpa Lahiri, and her broader interests include Italian feminist theory, religion and literature, and women’s life-writing.
