Gillian Ania is Lecturer and Researcher in Italian at Bangor University. She writes on contemporary Italian narrative and poetry. Her publications cover the works of individual authors (Leonardo Sciascia, Dacia Maraini, Paola Capriolo, Tullio Avoledo, Enrico Palandri) and themes such as literary representations of 9/11, apocalypse and dystopia, 1960s-70s narrative, epistolary fiction and literary translation. She has also published a book of poetry, and three translated novels.
