Catriona MacLeod is Lecturer in French Studies at the University of London Institute in Paris. Her research concentrates principally on the representation of women in French-language graphic novels (bandes dessinées) throughout the 20th century and women’s creation of bandes dessinées in the 21st century, with a further focus on depictions of migration and genocide in this art form. She has published articles in journals such as Contemporary French Civilization and L’Esprit créateur and a monograph, Invisible Presence: Drawing Women in French Comics (Intellect, 2022).
