This session will include a panel of staff from the Institute of Modern Languages Research (IMLR) and the Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) who have edited, reviewed and published research with leading journals and publishers across Modern Languages, Area Studies and related fields. Their current editorial roles include the Journal of Romance Studies, the Bulletin of Latin American Research, Modern Languages Open, IMLR books and the Latin American Studies book series (University of London Press), and the Transnational Modern Languages book series (Liverpool University Press). The panellists will share their advice and experiences of both getting published and reviewing articles and book proposals, as well as addressing subjects such as writing for different disciplinary audiences beyond Modern Languages. Short presentations from the panel will be followed by time for questions from the audience.
