Congratulations to ILAS student, Tatiana Suárez, on her SLAS travel grant
Tuesday 5 March 2019

Tatiana, an ILAS MPhil/ PhD Candidate in Latin American Studies, has been awarded a SLAS travel grant to undertake research in Colombia. The grant will cover a significant part of Tatiana's research stay, which will take place in Summer 2019.
Tatiana's research focuses on the reintegration of ex-combatants from the guerrilla organisation Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) after the 2016 peace agreement. Her fieldwork will involve gathering ‘on-the-ground’ perspectives about reintegration in two different rural communities located south of Colombia’s capital. Tatiana will conduct observations and life history interviews with ex-FARC rank-and file members at these reintegration localities.
Many thanks to SLAS for their generous support and best of luck to Tatiana.
