Congratulations to ILAS lecturer, Ainhoa Montoya, who has been awarded British Academy seed funding to support a collaboration with the O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). The project will involve an exchange of ideas on the "Technologies of Democracy in Post-Conflict Settings" in South Asia and Latin America.

Ainhoa, together with JGU academic, Lipika Kamra, will consider the mechanisms and procedures through which democracy operates, as well as the platforms through which knowledge is circulated. In post-conflict scenarios, these technologies of democracy can prove cruicial to the rebuildling of the body politic, whilst at the same opening up new avenues of political participation for citizens.

The exchange is being funded by the British Academy as part of its initiative to facilitate collaboration between India-based and UK-based early career researchers.
