Part of ILCS's Thinking Strategically seminar series, this online event brings together some of the authors and editors from two of the latest published volumes in the Transnational Modern Languages series, published by Liverpool University Press: Transnational East Asian Studies (2022) and Transnational French Studies (2023). Panellists will discuss how concepts of transnationalism underpin and unsettle their respective disciplinary areas and offer their views about the future of intellectual enquiry, research and pedagogies in this area.

While primarily focused on the two most recently published volumes in the series, the event will also allow us to hear about new and forthcoming volumes in the pipeline, as well as discuss the future direction of the series beyond those existing and planned volumes.
