Institute of Commonwealth Studies Romance Collections
Housed within Senate House Library, the Institute of Commonwealth Studies Library represents a major resource for research on the Commonwealth and its member states. Although the majority of its holdings are in English, Romance language material can be found in the following areas:
- History and politics of Francophone Canada, particularly Quebec and the Quebec independence movement
- French and Portuguese colonialism
- History and contemporary history of Latin America and the Caribbean
- Political parties and trade unions material for the Commonwealth, particularly Canada, including letters, congress proceedings, pamphlets and posters. This is housed in Senate House Library Special Collections and can be ordered via electronic catalogue.
