Paul Celan’s ‘Mapesbury Road’
In-person fieldtrip - meeting on the corner of Mapesbury Road and Willesden Lane (nearest Tube: Kilburn)
The group will meet for an in-person fieldtrip to Mapesbury Road, North London, where Paul Celan wrote his poem of the samename. The idea of this short walk is to explore the time, space and environment in which Celan wrote his poem from the point of view of the present. Theaudience will be invited to come up with their own creative responses to the poem and their experience of visiting the place where it was written. We will meet on the corner of Mapesbury Road and Willesden Lane (nearest Tube: Kilburn)
